Please join us on WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 27 to celebrate the CD release of the most enchanting music from Turkey. Group members include: Selcuk Suna - clarinet, saxophones, Eric St. Laurent - guitar, Tylor Emond - bass, Todd Pentney - piano/keyboard, Max Senitt - Drums. There will guest performers including singers Dia and Luis Louwop Segura, Anh Phung-flute  Jessica Hana Deutsch-violin and the  percussionist Mehmet Akyazi. 

This group mixes traditional Turkish folk music with jazz; a unique blend of Turkish culture with contemporary. All compositions are rearranged by Selcuk Suna. 

DoVira [do-VEE-ruh] is a Canadian world fusion group that integrates Ukrainian and Eastern European folk music with contemporary arrangements, electronic textures, and other music influences from around the world.

The group is fronted by Ukrainian-born pianist/vocalist/composer Stacey Yerofeyeva and Canadian-born Mike Romaniak; a pioneer in integrating the sopilka (a traditional Ukrainian flute-like instrument) with guitar pedals & effects.

DoVira’s music isn’t meant to be catering to a specific community or demographic – it is true contemporary 'world' music.
